We are honored to share that Wexner Heritage Village, one of our partners in the Urban Zen Integrative Therapy Program, has received a $25,000 grant from the Alice and Robert Estrich Fund of The Columbus Foundation to support the expansion of Urban Zen Integrative Therapy at Zusman Hospice. See below, a statement by the Wexner Heritage Village Board Chair Eric Wasserstrom on Urban Zen Integrative Therapy.

STATEMENT

The Wexner Heritage Village Chair’s Award is an opportunity to recognize and thank a group or corporation that has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our organization, associates, patients and their families.

This year, I have the distinct honor of presenting the Chair’s Award to the innovators behind WHV’s Urban Zen Integrative Therapy program. In a very short time, Urban Zen Integrative Therapy has become so interwoven into the very fabric of and culture of Wexner Heritage Village that it is now hard to imagine life without it.

Wexner Heritage Village was honored to become the first healthcare organization of our kind outside of Beth Israel Medical Center in New York City and the UCLA Health System in Los Angeles to adopt Urban Zen. And, thanks to our Urban Zen team’s efforts and commitment, we are proud to be a national hub for training and developing new practitioners.

The value of Urban Zen is so apparent that our community has come forward with grants and other support to ensure that the program will continue to expand and allow more people to be seen by more practitioners than ever before.

Words fall short of expressing our gratitude for the vision and dedication of our Urban Zen partners – Marcia Miller, owner of Yoga on High; Lori Moffett, director of the program at Wexner Heritage Village; and Karen Jones, the generous benefactor behind bringing Urban Zen to WHV. But on behalf of myself, and the entire Wexner Heritage Village Board, thank you and congratulations.
